The Management History Research Group is a friendly network of (mainly) UK researchers who are interested in how the history of management – be it management practice, theory, behaviour, education approaches, or problems – can be researched using archives and other historical sources. We share many of the same broad interests and pre-occupations as business history, but focus on the history of management within an organisation(s) rather than the history of the business itself. If you are nodding along with that statement and think that obviously management history is different to business history in terms of the stories that can be told then you are likely to feel at home in the MHRG and its workshops. Please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
